We walked through Oakland Lake, and wanted to check on the swan nest. As soon as we got there, we saw the pair at the front of the lake. Alone. Not a good sign. When we got to the nest, it was empty. They lost all their eggs. It seems someone grabs them, as they are some sort of ‘delicacy’. So another year, and we have no cygnets. Let’s hope they try for a second clutch this season … 🦢 🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚 🦢
