The Mute Swans have just the 2 cygnets. The other 2 eggs didn’t survive. I caught the family on the CP side of the cove with the drone. Got some pretty good footage.

Checkout the Philippe Petit of squirrels. No matter what I try, this momma finds a way to walk across very thin wire to get to the sunflower seeds …
Really liking this drone. I even learned how to catch it. After tonights sunset …
A few good sunset pics from terra firma at Chisolm’s …
Trying out this neat feature on the drone, where it makes 360 degree photos. Then you rotate the view, and zoom in/out and pan around the image. Real slick.
The College Point Memorial Day Parade was very nice. Great weather. We had a few good folks, Vicki, the Guardian Angels, with Curtis and great representation from the community groups and churches … 🇺🇸
Spotted this Tiger Swallowtail butterfly in our front tree. We’ve never raised them, so not sure if they also lay eggs on the fennel. Will have to keep an eye out. Then HjL spotted a small white fying butterfly. Turns out it was a Pale Beauty moth. Pretty […]
Some pretty cool sunset drone pics and video from our yard. There will be better sunsets …
It’s always fun to welcome a new baby to the family. We welcome our newest great-nephew MsM. Congratulations to our niece and nephew CsM & RM on their beautiful baby boy. A very happy baby as well. If I have my numbers right, MsM is our 8th great-niece/nephew […]
There are a few Canadian Goose families with their goslings in varying degrees of size. As cute as they are, and with as many as there are, there’s going to be PLENTY of poop for those high real estate tax homeowners to navigate …
Went to check on the new babies, and Momma has the new cygnets out swimming already near the nest. All 4 of them were swimming around, and the nest was left alone with both eggs exposed. Then momma went back to the nest, and sat back down. Got […]

We stopped by the PCP-Malba Swans to check on them yesterday, and we spotted 2 new baby cygnets, being cared for by Momma. And there’s they’re other 2 siblings still in eggs. Momma sat up, let the 2 new ones roam, cleaned up the crib, rotated the eggs, […]
Spotted my first female Black Swallowtail butterfly of the season, on the trail at PCP. We have a good supply of fennel at the preserve, and are waiting for the first eggs to drop. A lot of our bronze fennel came back, and they are getting huge …
Some more drone pics and video …
I keep checking on the Swan nest. Nothing yet. And at last count I saw 5 eggs. I’m even using a new drone I picked up to get some interesting views from the water side. This sucker allows me to stay at PCP and fly over 1,600 feet […]
Our yard has been busy too. Besides the usual critters, we’ve even had the munchkin over. The Starling Fledglings are funny. They’re as big as their parents, yet still scream to be fed. And our HjL looks kool in her faux spectacles …
A few good sightings at PCP. Great Blue Heron, Carolina Wren, Cowbird, and the Yellow Warbler …
Spotted my first Baltimore Oriole of the season at PCP. Now, I’m waiting for them to find their way back to our yard. Got plenty of jelly and water for them …
Always good to see me Momma, and brudder and his bride. It was a special treat to see our nephew Noodles, and who can forget my new sister Cookie, and that krazy dawg Cody … Oh, and I really try not to judge the decor of one’s home […]

Look who came back to the yard. That Budgie from the other week. At least I think it is the same one. Who knows, they all look alike. Will see if he goes into the cage. Catch him for NM …

Stuck between a fledgling and a Redstart. I was snapping pics of this Robin fledgling enjoying the birdbath, when I heard the call of the American Redstart. He was right over me, so I have a few cool undercarriage snaps of the Redstart. And how about those tiny […]
