What a great ceremony today for the NYPD Cadet Corps graduation @Flickr. Joe looked so handsome, and made us very proud. Commissioner Ray Kelly gave a very poignant speech, and congratulated them as they prepare to enter the Police Academy next week. He recalled how he began his distinguished career as a Cadet Corp member and was very gracious as he stood for pictures with all the graduates. Rosanne even managed to tell him how much she likes his son Greg Kelly from FOX5. Commissioner Kelly and Mayor Bloomberg will be swearing Joe and the other recruits in next Wednesday, so that’s Joe’s official start date as a New York City Police Officer. WOW !!! Afterwards Joe showed us the office he was working in. It is called DCPI and was the Public Information office. All the folks there commended Joe on his work performance, and congratulated me and Ro on the fine young man we raised. They said they will miss Joe a lot, he did great work for them. They were very sincere. Congratulations Joe, we Love You very much, and are very proud of you. You are a remarkable young man, and we can’t express enough our pride in you. Here are my standard pics of Joe’s NYPD Cadet Corps graduation.

The Supreme Court is scheduled to review Barry’s eligibility again this Friday. Take the new Musings Poll asking if we should expect Obama to be constitutionally eligible to be our next President

Should Obama be constitutionally eligible to be president, and if not, should an exception be made to allow him to be president ?
Yes, no exception
Yes, make exception
No, yes make exception
Who cares
Never Forget Jacks Musings

Here’s an article from the Arab perspective. In the US, Gaza is a different war – By Habib Battah

Now, I got a heart to, so when I read it you tend to say, gee, what’s gives here. But, hey, as they say, it’s all about context and perspective. I try to keep things simple in my life. So, I begin very simply. I don’t recall EVER reading a story about how an Israeli boy or girl, strapped a bomb to themselves, went into an Arab market, or bus and blew themselves the fuck up. I don’t recall reading how the Israeli army was firing mortar rounds from the 2nd floor window of an elementary school, while class is in session in all the other rooms. Is it part of the Jew school curriculum to call Arabs dogs, pigs, and scum ? who should be killed, raped and maimed wherever they shall be ? If someone on my block was storing weapons, bombs, torture rooms, I would call the authorities, not look the other way. I’d also move the fuck out too, so please. Enough of the dead Arab children and women. Start out with stopping the rockets, TALK to one another, spend your money (heck our fucking money and the Israeli money) on food, medicine, plane tickets out, whatever, just stop fighting. No one is fooled. You can’t intimidate everyone forever. People are getting tired of your stories, as sad as they are. You created this mess and brought it upon yourselves. Grow some balls and either stand up to the terrorists within your own community, move out, or shut the fuck up. As Golda Meir said, “We will have peace with the Arabs when they love their children more than they hate us”.

I also find it interesting, amusing and sad that all of the HAMAS leaders are in hiding. And when they do come out of their rat holes, they have masks covering their faces. There was a time, when to be called a leader, you had to actually LEAD, be out front, set an example. Fucking cowards !!!

Here’s another plan of mine. How many families can there be in Gaza ? 250-300 thousand ? Identify the regular people, pack them up, move them into brand new homes, on their own town/farm environment, give them $100,000 and allow them to start a new life. It has to be cheaper for the planet and every country to set them up and let them grow than to try and have them fight over fucking sand. Ask them and I bet they’d agree. Shit, move them to Montana and Nebraska. They’ll do just fine in our country and they won’t be looking to kill each other and all the Jews. Move Israel someplace else, then put a big fence around the Israel/Palestine region and seal it off with signs that say DO NOT ENTER – POISON LAND – Enough already

The Big Guy, WFP from Tampa way, sends in this years Darwin Award winners. The good ones were :

  1. When his 38-caliber revolver failed to fire at his intended victim during a hold-up in Long Beach , California , would-be robber James Elliot did something that can only inspire wonder. He peered down the barrel and tried the trigger again. This time it worked. And now, the honorable mentions

  2. The chef at a hotel in Switzerland lost a finger in a meat-cutting machine and, after a little shopping around, submitted a claim to his insurance company. The company expecting negligence sent out one of its men to have a look for himself. He tried the machine and he also lost a finger. The chef’s claim was approved.

  3. A man who shoveled snow for an hour to clear a space for his car during a blizzard in Chicago returned with his vehicle to find a woman had taken the space. Understandably, he shot her. (I hope her name was Maria Lopez …)

My brudder stopped over New Years Eve waiting to pickup the Vinman from the airport. Dick Clark still helps us ring in the New Year, and he does pretty good, all things considered.

We took Frank’s bandages off last night. Things look well, but he still has pain and can’t really put pressure on the leg yet. The surgery marks looks small enough to blend in once healed.
